Summer Day Camp Fort Mill at the Complex
Find your adventure at YMCA’s Summer Day Camp at Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex! Weekly activities include: field trips, swimming, group games, daily devotions, team building, crafts, summer reading, character development games and more!
AGES: Rising Kindergarten—8th
(Age group based on 2023/2024 grade level)
DATES: May 30—August 18 (*No camp on Memorial Day, July 3rd and 4th, and August 17th and 18th )
TIMES: Monday—Friday (7:00am—6:00pm daily)
COST: Members – $190/wk | Non-members – $240/wk

You may reserve a space for your child by paying the full camp fee or with a non-refundable $25 deposit for each week of camp. Full payment is due the Saturday prior to the week of camp and will automatically be charged to the credit/debit card on file.

Week 1 5/30-6/2: Community Explorers – “Grab your backpack!” This week campers will explore their own communities. Campers will enjoy fun visits and field trips of community partners, and will explore the importance of service projects and create their own.
Week 2 6/5-6/9: Wild Discoveries – “Dinosaurs, Reptiles, Amphibians… Oh My!” Campers will explore the natural world in different forms while learning about dinosaurs and animals. This week campers will go digging for dinosaur fossils, hike through the rainforest and much more!
Week 3 6/12-6/16: Green Thumb Week – “Pretty Fly for a Cacti” Does your camper have a green thumb? Campers will learn about the life cycle of plants and growing their own gardens. Campers will immerse themselves in the garden, connecting with the natural world and each other, while creating real, beneficial life skills.
Week 4 6/19-6/23: Space Travel – “To Infinity and Beyond” Campers will explore the great beyond through the stars, galaxy, and milk way. Campers will explore and learn about the galaxy and our solar system while having an “Out of This world” time.
Week 5 6/26-6/30: Y-Tube – “Welcome to Hollywood” The red carpet will be rolled out for our campers this week as they discover their talents and explore creating videos, costumes, set designs, and performing skits. This week will end with a Y Talent Show!
Week 6 7/5-7/7: Splash-Topia – “Wet and Wild” Campers will beat the heat during this week of water fun and games. They will make a big splash with water toy challenges, relays, and a Great American Camp Cookout.
Week 7 7/10-7/14: Y-Lympics – “Faster, Higher, and Stronger Together” Campers will learn about a variety of sports and sportsmanship while competing in the Y-lympics. Which group will take home the Y medal?
Week 8 7/17-7/21: Food Frenzy – “Bakers Gonna’ Bake” Campers will experience a week of cooking, recipe book making, and a baking contest, while learning about table etiquette.
Week 9 7/24-7/28: Lego Week – “Build On!” Campers will unlock their creativity and imagination as they conduct project-based experiments that involve positive communication and teamwork in order to design and create Lego theme parks.
Week 10 7/31-8/4: Wild Wild Y – “Tents, Knots, and the Great Outdoors” Campers will learn various skills of survival, reasoning, and group work in a week full of adventure that consists of scavenger hunts, tying knots and camping under the stars.
Week 11 8/7-8/11: Once Upon A Time – “Dream Big” Campers will experience what it takes to be a superhero, villains, and/or a princess! Their imaginations and dreams will come to life as they enjoy creating their own storybooks with their characters
Week 12 8/14-8/16: Camp Magic – “The Circus Celebration” Campers will get to join the circus as they get visits from clowns and magicians. They will have the opportunity to look the part and create their own clown designs and magic show.
