Youth Cheerleading/Dance

Youth Cheerleading/Dance

Cheer Jewels prides itself on being a cost-effective program with a limited time commitment.  Our program is designed to develop fitness, confidence, and team unity through competitive cheerleading to children ages 5 to 12 years old of all ability levels.  All children are welcome and will be placed on a team.  No prior experience is required!

Squads will work together as a team to perfect cheerleading routines.  Jewels will learn to stunt, tumble, jump, dance, and cheer.  Squads will perform these skills around the York County area and compete in Regional and National competitions (all within North and South Carolina).

We have had cheerleaders from Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Charlotte, Indian Land, Lancaster, Waxhaw, Weddington, Lake Wylie, & Clover Areas.

Cheer Schedule

The squads will first be determined by age then by skill.  Coaches reserve the right to make squad changes as needed. Cheerleading is a team sport and Cheer Jewels requires a commitment from cheerleaders and parents.  Practices are not mandatory during the summer months.  But once school starts practice then becomes mandatory.  Once your child joins, we ask that they continue through the season because the routines are designed around each cheerleader and we have a long waitlist of children ready to make the season commitment!

(Age as of January 1, 2026) – SQUADS are subject to change based on sign-ups, skills, and ages.  We use August as a time to finalize squad placements.  So, your child will be placed in squad based on age until coaches can evaluate skill level.
